They (Tecnam) is working on a larger version too, with Cape Air helping in the design.
It's the P-2012 Traveller, designed as a replacement for Cessna 402s et al. Lycoming (not Rotax!) TEO-540-A1A engines (horizontally-opposed 6 cylinder, geared, 350 shp), can run on avgas or mogas, fixed-gear unpressurized twin with up to 11 seats. Cape Air put out specs in an RFP, and Tecnam came closest. Now they're working together (whatever that means). Innovative little Italian company, best known for light singles (think flying Vespas).
