I made a table lamp out of a damaged "High-Speed shaft" (driveshaft) from a UH-60M blackhawk helicopter and gifted it to our engine guy. He loved it! I enjoy making things and giving gifts. I'll probably make one for my art studio eventually too (when I get one).
I installed some scrapped GE T700 turbine engine igniter wires on the harp and put an igniter on top for the finial. I also wired a 3-amp aircraft fuse in the base for protection and/or for use as an additional switch.
