Position Title: Crew Base Coordinator I - Las Vegas, NV
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
  • Work Activities/Context:
    • Work to ensure efficient operations of the Pilot Domicile Base by effectively handling a variety of administrative issues.
    • Help with dissemination of verbal and written information to Pilots and other personnel.
    • Help with distribution of critical flight information, manual revisions, monthly Schedule Bids, Training Bids, Vacation Bids, Blank Lines, etc; per contractual requirements.
    • Responsible for reporting Pilots' scheduling changes, including any unexpected pulls (death, medical, jury duty, etc.)
    • File a variety of irregularity reports and ensure that details are logged in the system and distributed to all necessary parties.
    • Ensure that Pilots have current information from various agencies necessary for them to remain compliant.
    • Update personal and professional information in scheduling system for compliance purposes (including when line checks are completed, etc.)
    • Pull information from Crew training scheduling program and communicate with pilots when they are due for line checks, medical check-ups, etc.
    • File reports in case of Pilot injuries, and act as liaison between SWA Benefits Department and TPA.
    • Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.
    • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Education: College course work or degree would be an asset.
  • Experience: Airline operations background preferred.
  • Skills/Abilities/Knowledge/Work Style:
    • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.
    • Excellent administrative skills.
    • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
    • Excellent customer service skills required.
    • Good working knowledge of PC and ability to learn Flight Operations computer programs and applications.
    • Good organizational skills and ability to work under tight time constraints to accomplish assignments and projects.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work in stressful situations.
  • Other Qualifications:
    • Extended work hours may be required.
    • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance.
