Super Cub Flying with Dad

Dad & I have been flying together in his Cub since I was 6 and I always look forward to flying with him when I get a chance to come back to Atlanta. I enjoy airline flying but I do miss the freedom and stick & rudder flying with the Cub, it's just a more pure form of flight - and it's way too much fun!

The only cub I've gotten to fly was a J-3. I'd love to fly a supercub! Looks slightly faster.

What a fun video. One thing is that the landing, touch and goes and fly by......very good. Really level and straight...great approaches....no side to side mucking about, just straight and level...no slop at all....very smooth and even. Very nice lines! You see some guys flying a small plane like this and the wings are waggling all over the place, they are pitched forward or back some, etc. When you do it right, there is little to correct for. Very nice flying. Super plane to do some sight seeing in, practice your skills, take to various strips around your area for the day and just have a ball with. Do you ever get to take her to any fly-ins in your area or nearby? That would be a great outing for you and your Dad. Hope you keep her forever and take your own son up in her one day.

We have a great time with it. We've been to many fly-in's over the years, always a lot of fun. We usually get invited to be on static display at an airshow or two each year, that gives me a chance to talk to people about aviation, I especially like interacting with the kids. Then there's the days we've spent with our airport buddies and their planes flying in and out of grass strips, with a $100 hamburger along the way - too much fun!
