I'm pretty excited about how 2012 ended. Yesterday I successfully passed my first airline checkride in my first jet. It was a great experience overall but I had a few things working against me that made it more stressful than I would've liked; a weak sim partner (who ended up busting unfortunately), a very lazy FSI instructor, and a very tough check airman for both my oral and ride. Needless to say it was quite gratifying knowing I made it through. I finally feel that my wife and I's efforts and sacrifices of paying dues and moving across the country 3x in the last 2 years have paid off (minus the money ha). I am extremely grateful for having a wife that supports me 100% in everything I do and good friends that are always there to tell me when I've really screwed the pooch.

It's an amazing feeling to know that you have made it to where you are in life because of hard work and solid judgement calls. I thank JC for its endless supply of great info and advice on this incredibly challenging but equally rewarding profession.

Congrats to you! That's a good feeling to get your first 121 checkride behind you.....successfully, I might add! :)

Congrats! Having both of us start the new year on such a positive first step, let it continue.

Congrats on the type ride! Indeed there are quite a few different personalities out there both on the student/instructor front.....I've seen it going on 6 years now- changeups every time
