Suburban Aviation

I did my PPL there and I know quite a few former instructors out of there. What do you want to know?

thinking about applying there for a flight instructor position. Just curious about student to instructor ratio, operational hours, pay... etc. etc.

Is there even a position open? I believe theres one guy on the staff right now and the schedule has room for a "part time instructor."

There isn't a lot of flying to be done in NW Ohio during the winter due to the WX.

I saw on a job board that there was a position available, It is possibly old. But I will probably send a resume anyways. Never hurts.

Yeah, good luck. I hope you get the job.

From what I've heard it's a pretty decent place to work but the operation has downsized A LOT over the years. Down to 1 full time instructor and 1 part time instructor with 2 airplanes based at DUH with another 2 that go back and forth between YIP and DUH.

I could be wrong..I'm just getting my information off of the online scheduler.
