Student Organizations

As anyone in AT at Purdue knows (well that knows me) I am openly critical of some of our student organizations and have tried hard to make certain clubs more existant. I'm looking for feedback from other students at Purdue on the organizations within AT and what they think about them and how they would like to see them bettered. Just as a reference the organizations are (in no specific order): PPP, PPI, AHP, ATSC, Women in Aviation, Flight Team, Women's Air Race, and I think thats it

I'm going into Av. Managment in the fall. What organizations within the AT department would you recommend joining? I would appreciate anyone's feedback.

I guess first I'll tell you what all the acronyms are. PPP is Purdue Professional Pilots. PPI is Purdue Pilots, Inc (basically a flying club). AHP is Alpha Eta Rho - Beta Chapter www.alphaetarho.org ATSC is Aviation Technology Student Council. Which club you should join depends on what you are looking for. AHP is a club that anyone can join regardless of major. They don't focus on any one aspect of aviation. I'm the former 2 term President of AHP and a refounding member, so I have some bias towards them. Each club has their pro's and con's. Women's Air Race has a website which can be found here http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~airrace1/ I would give you the website of the other groups, but I don't think any of them really have a website. Watch at the beginning of the year each group will have a call out to tell those interested what they are about and what they do. In the mean time check out the websites I listed and if you have any other questions just ask.
