Student Apartments Waiting List

Anyone one here currently (or previously) living in one of the on-campus student apartments? How long were you on the waiting list before they found a place for you? My application was submitted in May for a move-in date on or around January 1st. I'm not sure if I'll have a place in time, since I'm #46 on the list and have some specific preferences. I'm just curious how it worked out for others.

Application Type: Single Student Housing
Preference1: UND 3904 University Ave Unfurnished
Preference2: UND 23/24 Plex 1 bdrm
Preference3: UND 8 Plex Apts 1 Bdrm
Special Request: only these choices
Waiting List Number: 46

My friends just got denied housing yesterday and they applied around may/june for Hamline. Waitlist is to long and housing is all full, I'd suggest to start looking for alternatives

Gallery is nice...but has a waiting list, spent a year there and liked it. I had a sub-par experience to say the least with Goldmark (getting issued a noise violation for a noise complaint that I called in against my neighbors is just one example of their managerial brilliance), but they own a good chunk of the apartments in ol' GFK. You might try looking on UNDerground to see if anyone is looking for someone to take over a lease.

Thanks for the replies. I have been looking on UNDerground and posted an ad, so I'm hoping I'll find something. If you guys hear of anyone needing a roommate in the Spring, let me know. :D

I got on the list early May and got an apartment assigned in Mid-August. You should get something. My name was also 60ish on the list about a month prior to an offer. I'm going to move off-campus come January, so if you are still looking then let me know. You can get a two bedroom for 600 a month around here, which is pretty cheap.

That sounds great. If I still don't have a place when the time comes, I'd be very interested. Which apt. building are you in and how many bedrooms is it? Thanks!
