Stress Fracture

In July I was diagnosed with metatarsalgia and had to quit flying due to the pain in my foot. A few weeks later my foot was not feeling any better and found out I had had a metatarsal stress fracture. It has been two months and so far I know my foot has not fully recovered.

Am I able to get back to flying as soon as my foot is feeling better or is this something I need to take up with the FAA before I start again?

How does the medical division deal with broken bones, or something like metatarsalgia?

Thanks Dr. Forred

Once your doc releases you, you are ready to fly. Remember, the real question is "can you safely operate the a/c?" Then on the next medical report the fracture.
