Still a good time to go regional?

No date on the linked ad but it appears GoJet is recruiting DECs. Why DECs under current circumstances ? Do they not have F/Os who can be upgraded ?

[Not interested in hearing why GoJet is better or worse than other regionals...I can get that elsewhere]

I suspect what it boils down to is GoJet wants troops, any they can get. With not a few captain qualified regional guys still on the street, using direct to the left seat as bait makes sense. People who wouldn't have looked at them otherwise might bite.

Add to this PIC time being less crucial to getting on with the majors, many F/O's are content to ride the right seat. GoJet might not have as many upgrades as they'd like.
