Sterile Cockpit

Not sure if I am posting this in the correct place. Mods feel free to move it. Anyway, I was looking at some vids on youtube, and came across a video where the captain was filming the takeoff roll, and departure while the fo flew. I am pretty sure this violates some rule by the 121 carrier. Now I am not posting to say "Hey, this guy is doing wrong!" My question is what would you as a fo do in this situation? In this world of youtube videos, and an increasing number of flight deck videos, I can see some airlines using this as an interview question. If you don't want to discuss this in an open forum, please pm me. (I know big brother is watching.)
 
Simple. "CA, please put down the video recorder. How can you possibly be filming the takeoff AND watching the instruments at the same time?"

At the very least, he's not giving his full attention to V speeds, call-outs, caution/warning messages, etc.
 
It's very likely the the Capt who filmed this may have had it come back to haunt him later and he regretted it. It's happened before...
 
What is normal for ops and a steril cockpit? In GA I request my passengers to remain silent until I give the clear, usualy 2000AGL or after handed off and talked to departure. I do let them know they can point out aircraft without saying anything and appreciate it. I guess I could seperate them from me via the radios, but want them on just in case I need to tell them something.

Thoughts?

Only essential conversation below 10K per FAR. 18K advised per company procedures. No non-essential cockpit duties during steril cockpit.
 
Just thought I'd add....

I believe it's permissable to discontinue sterile cockpit procedures below 10,000 ft if your cruising altitude is less than 10,000.
 
Every company will specify that below 10,000 feet keep it sterile. And like DEUPS727 stated many will keep it essential to 18000. Whether or not that happens depends on the individual crews. Keep it safe guys/gals.
 
The sterile cockpit is VERY important in single-pilot freight operations. I will not eat, dip, or fiddle with music below 3000 feet (on the departure, that is). On the arrival, the music MUST be off prior to the FAF on an IAP, and before 1500 feet on a visual.

Unfortantly I have had a few choice words for myself this morning on climbout....I also accidently had the mic keyed, CAK Departure had a laugh, as they asked if I had a passenger (as filed I did not), and had to say I was talking to myself.
