State retirement "stress leave"

I'm going to retire form a State job in the Dept Of Corrections and I'm also a commercial pilot. To get paid for my remaining 344 hrs of sick time (almost 2 months pay), I need a Doctors excuse. Everyone from Wardens on down pretty much use "stress leave" to get the sick time payout at retirement. I hate to just walk away from a benefit I earned at 6 hrs a month to avoid being labeled, but I don't want it to mess me up with the FAA or future employment.. Could using the label "stress leave" hurt me on my next class I physical. Any advice? Thanks in advance.
