State of UAL Hiring - Chief of Hiring Podcast

Looking forward to hearing this. Timing is interesting- got an email today inviting me (and everyone else who ever applied to SWA) to meet their hiring people at some upcoming events.

Wonder if they’re doing this to align with some folks likely bailing out of my shop?

When you have a Q and A conversation with someone. Don't say "good question" every time. Maybe every three or four times. And don't nod your head all the time when the other person is talking. Just during the times you agree or what to show understanding.

This is usually done by those who are not truly listening, but are only waiting to speak.

At first I thought this guy was just another person trying to capitalize on “listen to me if you want success”. Although he does do that, through the grapevine I’ve heard Spitfire is an excellent product for your career progression. He has had some big names on for all the majors to discuss hiring and what they look for in a candidate. You can’t get much more direct than that.

The host was annoying AF but asked great questions and the UAL employee was very transparent and direct. This video is a great resource for anyone looking for a job at UAL. Or really any major, albeit with small differences

Or during an interview.

Good grief, “I’m SO glad you like it, I woke up early and hand-crafted this question and ran it back and forth to myself in the bathroom mirror”
