Starting MEII Program

All ATPers:

I'm starting the MEII program in PHX on Thursday. I have a few questions about the program from people who have been there.

1.) How rigorous is the program and what can I expect?

2.) Will this program get me my CFII so I can teach instruments in a Cessna?

3.) Any JCers currently in class, or instructors, out there in PHX during the 5 days I'm going to be there (September 23 - 28)?

Thanks!

1. Depends on which program. We have a 7-hour program and a 13.5-hour program. The short program is just a quick prep for the checkrides, and you need to be extremely proficient in both a multi and instrument flying. The 13.5 hour program gives you more time to adjust, but is also difficult in that all of the time is flown over 4 days.

2. You get the Instrument Instructor Airplane rating, which does allow you to teach instruments in a Cessna. It's not multi or single engine specific.

3. I'm in Vegas. I'll be at Network JC though.

I'm in the 15 hour program. I just got my multi and need the 15 PIC time for the MEI.

I guess if I'm not multi proficient, I definately will be! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
