This is mostly for controller awareness as to what you guys are physically having to do in the airplane.
On some arrivals like the CHPPR1 into ATL, there are published holds at fixes not connected to any transition on the STAR:
Lets say you are cleared RUTTH.CHPPR1.KATL, then subsequently issued holding at JKSON. How do you guys pull up this fix in the FMS? Currently we teach it as good practice that if you are issuing a fix that is on another transition you should tell the pilots the transition it is on. Since none of these holding fixes are transitions on the arrival or connected to any of them, what is the best way to help you guys help us, when finding it. Does it pull up in the FMS under the arrival? Looking at adding something like this to our current STARS and wanted to have good information going into it. Thanks!
