Stafford lenders

Wasn't sure whether to ask this here, or at the general forum, but seeing how the Stafford lenders vary from school to school, I figured I should ask you guys here.

Could you any of you recommend a lender for the Stafford loans?
I know researching my options should ultimately be my responsibility, but having received my financial aid letter for the summer, yesterday, I don't have much time at all. I must send it today, since the stupid USPS took SIX days to deliver the letter. And since classes start June 7th, I'm sure you see my position time-wise.

So could any of you suggest a lender for the Stafford loans?

Also, I'm thinking of getting a PLUS loan through Sallie Mae. Any benefits of choosing them for the Staffords as well?

Same here, and have been no problem.

Yes, you can choose what bank you want to issue the Stafford Loans.

Just checked out ASAP/Union Bank.

I don't know much about this stuff, but this sounds pretty cool:

The only thing I DO know, is that before the loan's disbursed, the government gets the 3%, not the school.

So does this mean that the origination fee is 2%? Or is there some "catch" to it.....?
 
LOL, I think I'm worrying a bit too much. It all comes out to be almost the same anyway.

I'm gonna go Wells Fargo.
