SR22 NEF List

Anyone operating the SR22 have a non essential furnishing list you would be willing to share?

Just got my first two hours in a SR22 this weekend, I'll check with the owner to see if he has the NEF for it. Can't find it online? Obviously not or you wouldn't have posted!

I'm open to suggestions too...

As of now, the only things I can think of are cup holders, and the XM Satellite radio receiver.

Can placards be deferred? Waiting in line last summer at teterboro with the doors open, a gust of blew the removable velcrow placard covering the CAPS handle out the door.

Generally no, but they can be of an alternate construction if installed by a tech and entered in the mx logs.

I have seen three POIs (2x 141 flight schools, 1x 135 air taxi) consider that to be a no go item because, quote "it's really an emergency checklist, more than a placard."

Most operators keep multiple spares for just that reason. If you have any input, I suggest keeping one onboard--fits nicely in the zippered leather AFM. A lot easier than losing the flight and waiting until one gets Fedex-ed from Duluth.

Does the Cirrus not have required placards listed in chapter 2 of the AFM?

Maybe the controllers at teterboro think we are an sr-71, because it's the only airport I go into as a cirrus, and i'm asked on a regular basis to slow final approach speed.

The cover to the CAPS handle cannot be deferred....the quick-fix until you get a new one is to pull the one from the placard page out of the POH and tape it up there....jerry-rigged, but legit....

I was pretty sure that NEF's much like mel's are operator specific anyways. You need you own version signed by the FAA.

Ours cover things like cupholders, interior plastic trim, stuff like that, which is not an issue for the safe operation of the plane.

I guess what I'm saying is, even if somebody else can write it up as an NEF, that doesn't make you legal to fly with the same issue
