Because you had to know... Very cool though!!
You can transfer fuel from tank to tank in flight.. Can you do this in other planes, I.E. airliners and the like? I just steep bank the wings in the 172's i fly ;) so I wouldnt know..

Learjets have at least 3 fuel tanks (some have 3, some have more), and you can transfer fuel anywhere you like while in flight.

I love the SR-71.

Also, the pilot who made that video (Richard Graham) wrote an AWESOME book titled SR-71 Revealed. I highly recommend it, I've read it at least twice. It's chock full of unbelievable stories from SR-71 pilots over the years. I also met him at Oshkosh, he's a really nice guy.

I know the Embraer products can't. Ok nerds, it's not designed too...
I'm going to go out on a limb by my jumpseat trips in the CRJ, but doesn't look they can either.

Huh? You can cross flow with the return motive flow going into the other tank. I guess you're not directly pumping it over there, but it's still transferring it. The CRJ has a more robust capability in this department including a handy little auto cross flow that. It still amazes me that Embraer couldn't get an auto xflow figured out.
