Spotting at Sky Harbor PHX?

Does anybody know if there are designated spots to do some airplane spotting at Sky Harbor?

I don't want to post up in a parking lot somewhere to watch the planes and have the police stop by if I can help it.

Thanks for your help!

On Facebook there is a page called "freight dog photography". He spots around PHX a fair amount.

Last I remember, there isn't a specific viewing area, at least not like ABQ has.

Doo it! While you're there, climb the fence whilst wearing a turban and loudly chanting "lalalallalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalallalaa", as you run towards the ramp tarmac. That should make for some good internet pics.

Airlane by Honeywell is a popular spot. Also terminals 3 or 4's garage roofs have awesome views. I wouldn't worry about cops & such as PHX is pretty chill. I used to work those parking garages and ran into spotters all the time without any problems.

This time a year, go with the garage. No heat haze in your shots, and you can be on the top floor because the sun isn't terrible. Cops don't bother spotters there.

PHX: Same airliners over and over.

DVT: Same GA planes over and over

LUF: Same military planes over and over

GYR: Same German planes over and over

MZJ: Same parked planes, plus interesting arrivals and other interesting activity that while not too obvious, is also not too secret neither.

So then KTUS is where it's at?

I was at KNYL recently, I saw a really cool mix of civil and military stuff out there. I was next to an AV-8B on a parallel approach. Of course, he overtook us. :)
