Pilot and A Half (for now
I have a midwife appointment this morning and a glucose tolerance test. My BP was elevated, so they told me I had to go to the hospital. I went straight up to labor and delivery and got hooked up to all the machines to monitor my BP/ pulse and the baby's heartbeat. I was there for nearly 2 hours and with each reading my BP would be lower than the one before. The OB finally came in and said I was fine and as long as my urine test came back clear of protein I was being discharged. He said they couldn't give me BP meds as they can mask pre-eclampsia, so basically pregnancy induced hypertension can't be treated.
(My final reading was 134/71 though, so it did go down quite a bit.) I just pray that I can keep her in there until at least 37 weeks and that we will be healthy.
