Hello, I have a question about a special issuance medical.
Otherwise healthy male in early thirties - 121 line pilot
Diagnosed with non-cirrhotic portal hypertension
tips and brto procedure done because of bleeding varices.
Current meds: two diuretics, a beta blocker, and a proton pump inhibitor.
Significant reduction in splenomegaly & ascites
<2g Na per day for diet.
Great bp, blood chemistry, weight loss stabilized.
If you sent paperwork to OKC today, how long would you expect to wait before receiving a response from the FAA for a medical cert?
