And the correspondent was yacking about the Starship as SpaceShipOne took off and it literally caught him by surprise.
Geez, great "Situational Awareness" guy!
I don't think the media has a good grasp on the true gravity of what the Rutan's are doing out in the desert, but if they're successful, this could spell a new era in space exploration.
Hopefully, they won't do two decades of "Let's place another TV satellite in space" and "how do earthworms grow in zero gravity" type hubris.

I don't think the media has a good grasp on what toilets are truly for......
That said, I think/hope this is a step in the direction of what space exploration is all about.
You know, the crap we were "promised" in our cartoons....like the Jetsons.

yeah I loved the comment calling the enthusiasts "spacies"
I don't claim to know alot about space exploration, but I think I'd do some decent research before I broadcast on national TV. But what can ya expect from CNN.

I have been flipping between news channels for the past hour and nothing. And Fox News keeps saying "stay tuned..." Ugghhh!!! I guess I'll just have to read about it.
