Southwest Navigation Analyst

I'm just guessing that you will maintain all required routes that they have built.

Remember every 28 days that pesky AIRAC cycle comes out and can just duckchit up.

They may also have you build temporary routes and verify which notams affect what.

So in simplistic terms it sounds like "DATA MANTENANCE."

Recently applied for this position. I am a licensed dispatcher with 121 experience. Does anyone have insight into this interview and what the job entails aside from the description? Like a day to day expectation. I got the email they would be reaching out to schedule interviews soon.

Fair warning...once hired by southwest, they take almost 8 full weeks to do your background.

I applied for one of these jobs with USAirways back in 2012 when their OCC/NOC was still in PIT. They wanted mostly database/data management experience and I was completely unqualified for that. But somehow I still got a face to face and met with a director and several managers. I ended up getting a really nice tour of the facility, which was still new at the time.

At least they are extensive 😂 but my FAA checks didnt even take that long lol
it's sterling. massive delays from that company...and it does not even meet the requirements for airlines under 1544.229

I lost heart and interviewed, was offered, and took a different airline job in the same kind of position (not in dispatch) while I was waiting for sterling to clear me for WN. ...a background check should verify your education/employment, run your prints, and test your pee...this takes 72 hours at the most.

Yeah it took me 3 weeks to hear back on the background test. But we had our training manager give updates on how our hiring class was progressing. So we at least were hearing from swa during that time.

Do you know if this position does an HR phone call interview and then a face to face? is that standard for all positions?
