Still here.
I'm sitting on a packed baby jet in GRB. There's weather in DTW (where our crew just came from) causing a one-hour ground stop.

We're still at the gate, so it's not like they need the ramp space.

I see no logical reason to have us on the plane. But hey, they passed out some pretzels.

Yeah sometimes gotta play the game. Though if it appears it'll be more than an hour I do my best to get the pax off quick.

Hopefully that bird has a good APU!

Not an RJ unless the power is uncomfortably high.
Taxiing out engines-and-APU operating wasn't unheard of on the -145; more -200 drivers should be doing it.

Of course, it's not like it really matters on the -200. My feet got plenty cold on the deadhead today, but the rest of me was still too warm.

Most of us do, I run APU all I can to keep the peeps happy. Also, your crew didn't use manual temp so your feet got cold. I'd have kept your toes from frostbite!

Well aside from sticking me in a crappy chair for an extra hour, they done good. Rerouted and getting home just a few minutes late. I retract my vehement hatred, and wish only to discuss the poor planning.

I've played that game once and won big time. It was nice to be the first of about 30 in line to head out of town however all those brown cardboard characters in the back didn't mind.
