Thats what the article says but doesn’t indicate if it was fat fingered or an incorrect command. Fat finger theory seems somewhat improbable. But it does mention that the range is nearby.

North of Seoul, you’ll have Rodriguez and Nightmare ranges that have air to ground sections to them.

It would appear the bombs were BDU-50s, based on the damage in the photos. Unless they were Mk82s dropped without being armed, which would make no sense unless they were emergency jettisoned.
