Hey, alot of people hate them - but they're the only type of sunglasses I've worn for about the last ten years!!! Oakley's are horribly ugly to me, and nothing else really looks good!

I don't subscribe to the "can't be a pilot without a pair" notion, but if you like something, wear it!

True story:

Back during my instrument training, we were JUST taking off - I mean, we weren't 150 ft. AGL when my instructor yells out "OH MY GOD!!!"

Needless to say, I about shat myself.

Me: <looking at all the appropriate guages, engine is still running....we're climbing...> WHAT???

Him: They tore down that house down there. First I've noticed it.

Had my instructor do the "Oh my God" thing while under the hood. It was immediately followed by "My controls," a dive to the left and "take your hood off, you need to see THIS." There was an ATA Aztec that about flew RIGHT through us from the right side. We were just outside the Class D at ORL heading to the practice area, too.
 
Thanks, all!! I wished I'd had my camera this afternoon...had some great IMC photo ops working with an instrument student!!

I'd trade 3 VFR lessons for 1 IFR!! I simply love it!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
 
Real easy to say, but when you've got the foggles on, and you can't see anything but the panel, we'll see.
