Immediate opening. ARFF and Fire Fighter I minimum requirement. Current live burn preferred. Ideal candidate is interested in a unique opportunity to perform in many different airport related roles and live in a small, remote island community. Airport operations (civilian/military) or FBO experience a plus but not required. Position requires cross-utilization in airport ops, aviation weather observation, minor airport/vehicle maintenance, training others and aircraft servicing. On the job cross-training will be provided. New hire must be able to pass weather certification exam upon relocation to Midway (training materials to be provided upon hire.) Ideal candidate is a quick learner, flexible to relocate to a remote island, adaptable to many different job functions and works/lives well with others. Salaried position starting at 40K/year. Bonus plan. 8 month minimum stay preferred.

Cool. Remote island location. I'm still qualed and current for the job too. Got my yearly live burn for ARFF 2 months, and 7 months ago.
 
Remote island sounds good. I would love to be a bush pilot and live in my own tropical house in some paradise. Sort of like Harisson Ford in the movie "7 days and 6 nights".
