Eastern Airlines LLC Wayne, Pennsylvania:<BR /><p><strong>Overview<br /></strong>At Eastern Airlines&nbsp;curiosity and excitement for growth go a long way.&nbsp; In fact, Eastern Airlines&nbsp;was launched by seekers, adventurers and above all fliers.&nbsp; Our&nbsp;rich legacy and pioneering spirit are&nbsp;still evident&nbsp;in our team today.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Our open-hearted attitude, respect for the people we fly and our attention to detail is what sets Eastern Airlines apart from its competitors.&nbsp; Natural curiosity and hunger for wonder are behaviors that make&nbsp;our employees successful.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>This summary provides a listing of the knowledge, skills and abilities that are critical components of the position for SOC Operations Manager.</p> <p><strong>General<br /></strong></p> <p>This is a full-time position that reports to the Director &ndash; SOC and will also interact frequently with the Manager of Dispatch, Manager of Crew Services, Manager of Maintenance Control, Vice President Flight Operations &amp; DO, and others throughout the operation. &nbsp;The SOC Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful mission of the SOC to keep the airline running safely, efficiently, and regulatory compliant at all times.&nbsp; The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of FAR Part 121 and FAR Part 117 requirements and be able to make informed, and appropriate decisions regarding operational activities and events on a moment by moment basis. Good communication skills are required, good supervisory and/or leadership skills are required, good/mature judgment, and the successful candidate must be able to exhibit the values and culture of the company while working in a dynamic environment.</p> <p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<br /><br /></strong>The duties of the SOC Operations Manager are:</p> <ul> <li>Oversees the daily safe, efficient, and compliant, coordination of all aircraft operations while on shift;</li> <li>Oversees the coordination of Crew Services, Flight Dispatch and Maintenance Control to ensure efficiency, productivity, and proper execution of the activities that comprise the cargo, charter, or scheduled service operations of the airline;</li> <li>Ensures that teams are working together to promote efficiency but also maintaining legality as it relates to crews;</li> <li>Responsible for ensuring proper communication to the Airport Services team handling the on-site/field activities of the daily operation;</li> <li>Responsible to ensure proper coordination and checklist completion in order to meet Charter Sales/Charter Operations requirements;</li> <li>Responsible for data tracking and dissemination as it pertains to shift and/or overall airline operational performance and or productivity;</li> <li>Responsible for delay assignment and tracking for all flight operations;</li> <li>Identifies potential issues relating to crew attrition/crew staffing in advance so that those issues can be addressed by appropriate departments;</li> <li>Computer work in a typical office environment, sitting for most of the day;</li> <li>Other duties as assigned by the Director of System Operations Control.</li> </ul>
