Snow in the south

Out of all my life being in the Charlotte area I never remember it snowing this much. Were already up to 14" and its just pouring down. Anyone else stuck at their house?

Good thing for that Netflix thread the other day...coming in handy

Yikes, I kinda miss the snow but after a day or two I was over it. Currently in the 70s here in LAS with clear skies. ;)

We were doing runs from CHA-GSP yesterday. In the afternoon, the trucks wouldn't even come out to pick up what we were dropping off.

Our USAir counter is backed up due to CLT cancellations today. Looks like people aren't getting out until Saturday.

That's nuts... as a kid here in Nebraska it used to snow non stop in the winter. Now it's just constant bitter cold, 40mph wind, and no snow every winter. Oh yeah, and overcast skies for weeks.

I would kill for temps above freezing right about now. Really hoping I get a South Florida trip...

That's the thing man....today we got an obscene amount of snow for being in the mountains of Virginia. That doesn't bother me. Its the ridiculous cold that we've had that bothers me. We had about a week and a half where the temperature didn't get above 15 or so and my house decided to riot. Burst pipes, etc.

Last weather advisory I saw for SW Florida was a 'high surf advisory.'

Can't get surf blowers or surf shovels at my Home Depot.

Oh that hurts, there is nothing good about that.

I'm with you though, I'm used to the snow (it's New Hampshire), but usually we get a mid winter thaw for a week or so that melts this stuff. I haven't seen consistent above freezing temps in a long time.

I grew up in CLT and I can not ever remember it being this bad. I saw some pictures last night showing Independence Blvd shut down. I can't ever remember that happening.

In other news it was 83 degrees here at MCO on Tuesday and it was windy and in the chilly 50's here yesterday. At least that is how the guy on the radio described it.
