Slow/crashes in safari for iOS

Ever since the changeover, I've been experiencing intermittent slowness and occasional crashes in safari for ios on my ipad 2. The forum starts out working at normal speed, then gradually gets slower...longer page load times and delays in text appearing while typing, then eventually safari just crashes. When I reopen safari, it's back to normal speed for a while, but the cycle repeats.

clear the cache/ cookies. Sounds like some form of it is causing a memory leak/ issue.

iPad or phone?

iPad. Cleared cache/cookies once, will try again.

If that does not work, restore the iPad. If the cache is not bad (a one time thing) then Safari could be corrupting the data as it being written (happens but rarely).

Just upgraded to iOS 5, will let you know if that alleviates it.

Seems hunky dory on all of the iOS 5 devices I have. Do you have any add-ons or special settings?

Nope. Like I said, I'll let you know if the upgrade fixes it.

That is odd. 90% of the time I'm on the forum, I'm using Safari on the iPad.

Which "skin" are you using? Mobile, Dark or the Jetcareers/Default?

Dark. It crashed 3 times consecutively trying to make this post on my iPad, each time right after I hit "enter" to move the text entry down a line after my quote from darren's post. Now on my wife's MacBook and it works fine.

Erg. Exactly why I was reluctant to add an alternative skin because one has to play "Whack-A-Mole" with problems. Does the problem occur with the default/jetcareers skin?
