JFK worker trapped on plane during nap

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
6:51 AM EDT, March 31, 2009

A JetBlue employee says he took a free flight from New York to Boston -- after falling asleep in a plane's cargo bin.

The man was discovered by baggage handlers at Logan International Airport after the plane landed there Saturday. He told police he'd been accidentally locked inside the pressurized luggage compartment while taking a nap.

The 21-year-old man says he called JetBlue Airways officials when he realized he was no longer on the ground.

A state police spokesman says the man wasn't charged with any crime and was returned to New York when it was determined he wasn't dangerous.

Have you heard about police finding the dead scuba diver in the ashes of a forest fire? Yep, a heli was picking up water in those big water sacks in the closest lake in order to help put the fire out and inside he scooped up a diver. The diver was dropped on top of the forest fire. True story I tell you, on April fools day.

The baggage guy...I don't think his co-workers liked him much. I believe they were trying to transfer him to another location without talking to management. "Yeah, take a nap in here and we'll come and get you, we understand you never want to work...go on and nap on the clock we got your back." ;)

This really has happened in the past. In 05 or 06 a midwest ramper fell asleep and got a free ride from MKE to PHL.

I hope he wasn't paid for the team he was not at his assigned location.

Are we going to get fined for improper weight and balance calculations?
