Sleep Apnia

Doc,
I am retiring from the military and many folks are telling me to get checked for sleep apnia before I retire. If diagnosed, is this a FAA Class I issue?

If you have sleep apnea, you will need to report it (with your medical records) tot he FAA for a Special issuance. Many people have sleep apnea special issuance certificates so it is not a deal breaker.
