Signature Flight Support: Bad?

IMO, SFS is tailered for coporate and fractional, multiengine operations. I don't know why they treat smaller, private customers like that but it's at multiple locations. They're not the only FBO that does that. What bothers me the most is that some FBOs charge based on weight or size, yet the service level also varies based on size and weight. I don't know if it's the employees that aren't educated to understand why the price changes and how the service level shouldn't or if management allows that by either training that way or not hiring enough employees or something like that. If you didn't have enough employees, who would you pay more attention to? It might not hurt their business, but it's still crappy of them to treat people that way. If they insist on favortism, maybe their prices should reflect that attitude rather than still charging based solely on size and weight. There are really nice FBOs that offer the same services at the same quality that don't charge as much or charge nothing and treat you great.

How many of you pass up a Signature whenever possible? I just flew into one in a Piper Cherokee and no one assisted me until after a Citation left. A side note is what is up with the outrageous prices and ramp fees?
No excuse for bad service but did you call them 10mins out and say you were coming? If your coming in with a small plane and actually need services give em a call especially if they are gonna be busy. If you just want them to throw you some wood under the wheels just let it go.

We pass on Signature all the time. The fuel is ALWAYS like highway robbery. Sometimes we get pinched, SFO and MSP only have Signature no other choice. I wouldn't say that the service is any better than any other chain or mom and pop FBO, just comes down to the quality of the emplyees working at the time.

Went to Signature once at PSP, never again. Their website said they had a restaurant which they didn't and said nothing about a ramp fee. Hey we did get a crew car for a hour with the 25 bucks though.

Go over to STP, if you can get in to the airport, is my suggestion. Regent is one of the best FBO's out there. MSP I refuse to buy fuel from, and I make it known to them that I will never buy fuel from them.

As far as Signatures, some are okay, but most have horrible customer service, especially to freight dawgs. We'll see how it goes when in the 60.:)

I'm sure St. Paul is a better option, but what the trip sheet says, is where the IV goes.

By 60, did you mean LR-60? If so... congrats man! Its just like driving a Ferrari.

Yeah, I kinda figured that it wasn't your decision. I'll get to put up with that soon!! And, yes, I am movin on up...to the East side. Going charter in the Lear 60 out of St Augustine (30 mile drive). :nana2:
