MAN, I can't believe it, I was hired by both XJet and ASA, after some consideration and talking to pilots on both sides of the fence, I'm gonna go fly ERJ's for Xpress Jet. This site has really helped me along the way. Guys, when ya'll get up to the airlines (if that's your goal), don't forget to pay it forward and help the younger guys come up, we gotta stick together in this!

Grats....what were your times and what made you chose XJT? Delta's current situation?

Had about 1200 TT 200 multi., all CFI, never flew freight or anything like that; ATP written, FCC ticket, blah blah blah. I chose XJT based on the vibe I got from the place and yes, Delta's situation looks like it may set up some sort of a whipsaw situation between CHQ, CMR, SKW and ASA, plus XJT has almost twice the number of airplanes in ASA's fleet and I'm gonna be commuting either way I go and it's about the same from where I am to EWR or ATL. The payscales are really similar for the 50 seaters and I think XJT's future might be a little more certain. I believe upgrade time is about the same at both, so i'm just trying to find somewhere I can be happy as an F.O. w/ for 4 years and XJT was the lesser of the two evils. I got hired at Regions Air too, but I wouldn't touch that one w/ a ten foot pole gang. Their entire sellling point for the interview was "Give us 2.5-3 years and you'll be on your way to AirTran!"

congrats!!!!, and your right, we should all stick together in this. By the way, any chance we'll get the gouge from ya?

already posted the gouges for ASA and XJet on aviationinterviews.com and i'll cut'n paste 'em in the interview experiences section on jetcareers.

Were you in the Dec. 5 class? If so a good friend of mine was in there with you.

congrats, kppsg, good to have you aboard. Quite a feeling of accomplishment when you finish the PC, isn't it? Fortunately, things only get better as you get more and more comfortable with the job. Keep up the good work.

Congrats, and welcome aboard! Any word on where you'll be based? If you get EWR and need a good crashpad, let me know. I'm giving mine up soon.
