WOW. Those are some nice shots! You're only paying $80 and hour for that!? I pay $90+ for an aircraft equiped well less than that.

The 5 T's placard cracked me up. With a glass cockpit like that you would have to be half brain dead to screw up an approach or hold with all those SA gizmos.

He's very low time and only got his IR two weeks ago, I certainly wouldn't rag on him for taking any saftey measures.

I agree, but those screens can probably tell you what you're going to eat for lunch! Great photos!

I hope you arent serious. If anything a placard is the last thing a new IFR rated pilot needs to be concerned about when develping his scan. Isnt that why we use acronyms in the first place?

You're worried about his scan with that big honkin' PFD in his face? That's not IFR, it's digital VFR. :D

I don't understand what you're point is, the guy is taking a saftey measure and you decide that he's an idiot for doing it. People in his position are the type of people that are involved in many accidents (200 hour pilot in a Saratoga). He understands this and wants to fly as saftely as possibly (and he does). His instructor put it up there and hasn't taken it down yet. A place card is certainly not something I would be too concerned about.

I never called him an idiot, I was simply amused by the placard. You took it out of context in the first place. My original post was toingue in cheek, meaning that with a cockpit like that one, it would be pretty hard to lose SA.

My bad, sorry about that, I really need those screens, my SA hasn't been quite up to par lately!

Nice pictures! What kind of camera do you have??

I use a Canon D60, those were all taken with a Sigma 10-20 attached.
