V2X Fort Irwin, California:<BR />Service Order Dispatcher -Ft Irwin, CA <br /><br />Position is full-time non-exempt (hourly) working in support of the National Training Center Training Support Contract (NTCTSC) at the National Training Center (NTC). NTCTSC brings to bear the full capabilities of many of the worlds best systems integration and engineering companies in the technical integration of live, virtual and constructive (LVC) training support. The NTCTSC is located at Fort Irwin, CA, in the Mojave Desert, approximately forty miles northeast of Barstow, CA. NTCTSC operations support the NTC mission: To provide realistic joint and combined arms training focused on developing soldiers, leaders, and units of the United States military.<br /><br />Responsibilities:<br /><br />Performs duties as the receptionist under the supervision of the OCD manager for the Commander, Operations Group to greet visitors, determine nature of visits and directing visitors to appropriate persons. Receptionist duties include:<br /><br /><ul><li>Inventory of Escort Required Badges (yellow badges) upon assumption of receptionists duties,</li><li>Ensure both visitor and escort sign the DA Form 1999, Visitor Access Control Log, prior to issuing an Escort Required Badge (yellow badge).</li><li>Ensure temporary Escort Required Badges (yellow badge) are accounted for upon the departure of the visitor.</li><li>Screen visitors for proper access to the command-and-control center,</li><li>Ensure no unauthorized multi-media devices are taken into secure areas,</li><li>Receive and transfer phone calls,</li><li>Record and transmit all messages to appropriate individuals,</li><li>Keeping records of calls placed,</li><li>Providing information to callers and visitors, and</li><li>Accountability and control of all keys, PKI cards, radios, NVGs, and/or any additional OCC sensitive items,</li></ul>May also perform duties as the Service Order Dispatchers in the Operations Control Center consisting of:<br /><br /><ul><li>Operation of the Symmetry Professional system to verify authorized access to buildings and rooms, and/or issue Temporary Unescorted Access Badges,</li><li>Process and print Unescorted Access Badges (permanent badges) for appropriate building access,</li><li>Issue badges appropriate to clearance for building, room, and/or area access,</li><li>Maintaining the Range Operations Log for all NTCTSC personnel traveling into, around, and out of the NTC Maneuver Area,</li><li>Maintain the Flight Operations Log for all personnel utilizing Ridge Runner helicopter for access to remote mountain tops,</li><li>Receive and record all trouble tickets and work request on the OCC Daily Operations Log,</li><li>Create, review, edit, and conduct search for MAXIMO work orders,</li><li>Contact maintenance or technical personnel for all trouble tickets and work requests, and</li><li>Perform routine clerical work, such as:<ul><li>Draft documentations in MS Word,</li><li>Produce and maintain MS Excel Spreadsheets,</li><li>Produce MS PowerPoint presentations.</li></ul></li></ul>Responsible for interacting with government representatives and customers, site management, and sub-contractors to ensure compliant operations of:<br /><br /><ul><li>Physical and personnel security (badging),</li><li>Access control and emergency operations center functions,</li><li>Facility requests for installation, activation, service, repair or de-installation of contractor equipment or government furnished equipment (GFE),</li><li>Schedules service calls,</li><li>Dispatches service crews,</li><li>Follow-up with customers to insure satisfactory performance of services,</li><li>Maintain records of service calls and work orders,</li><li>Relay special instructions to mobile crews and other departments, using radio telephone equipment, and</li><li>Maintain visibility on the overall activities of various separate and unique teams in order to meet mission requirements at NTC.</li></ul>Adhere to the directives, memoranda, policies, procedures and practices implemented by the company, site manager, division manager, section, team leader. Support quality/ISO, security and safety training programs and directives.<br /><br />This position is for second and/or third shift.<br /><br />Required Education: HS diploma or equivalent.<br /><br />Desired Education: Some undergraduate studies in business or education<br /><br />Required Experience: One year experience as a receptionist or equivalent position handling multiple phones, directing incoming and outgoing calls.<br /><br />Desired Experience: Previous administrative or secretarial experience is desired. Military experience in the processing of work orders. Experience in the use of MAXIMO and Microsoft Office software products is desired. <br /><br />Desired Physical Abilities: Able to work long hours on a 7-day a week scheduled days, nights, and swing shifts.
