Serengeti Drivers Polarized

Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse here but someone metioned a while ago that Serengeti had some new lenses that were half polarized and the bottom half non polarized. Does anyone have any info about such lenses? I've been looking for a new pair of shades and something like that sounds just perfect.

When I worked at a pilot supply store on Boeing field these were our most popular sellers. There really is not that much information about them other then I have never seen so many people rave about how great they are even while flying through fog or other low vis situations.

Are you talking about the Drivers or the Polarmax Drivers?

We only had the normal drivers. I think the polarized ones would be even better. The only problem might be the blanking on some aircraft electronics.

I bought a pair of inexpensive polarized glasses not realizing they were polarized. They didn't present any problem with the glass or lcd displays in the cockpit of the Saab. However, the entire windshield turned into a plethora of pretty colors. I actually had to rip them off my face on final when the runway turned red.
I'm not sure if the Serengeti's polarization are any different but I have to imagine it's the same. I had the non-polarized Serengeti's and they were great. Wish I wouldn't have lost them. After losing a pair of Ray-Bans and then the Serengeti's I swore I'd never pay more than 20 dollars for sunglasses again.
