Hello All,
I was wondering if any one knew any information about getting a scholarship to pay for flight training. I am currently a 9th grader in high school. I was talking to a flight instructor and he told me to see what was avalible out there. Thanks for time

AOPA, Women in Aviation and (I think) Be A Pilot.com have them. That being said, they really aren't that much money and they are EXTREMELY competitive due to the fact that there are so few scholarships and so many people trying to get them. If you look into flight training at a university, then the door opens to government grants and scholarships as well as anything the university itself might have. I got $1000 flight training scholarship at ERAU just for asking. So, that dropped their flight costs down to about 110% of normal instead of 115%.......

I'm lucky Boca Raton Pilot's Association has a scholarship and I'm like the only young member. Plus, I'll be starting an aviation club at school next year which is another plus. I can get about $4,000 which already helps.
