Cold plate. Actually more popular than the hot dishes but there are only a limited amount on the airplane:

South American is actually a lot of work! :) Nothing like unfolding crisp charts and learning how to read them again. The "cheat sheet" actually helps a lot with communications:

I put in North 0 degrees (N00 on the NAV display) so you guys could see the equator:

Coming off of break and it's already light:

GRU Airport:

On the long drive to the hotel. The bus actually has a video system and the ride is so long, we almost watched the entire movie of "Dead at a Funeral":

Cool bridge:

Nice room!

Decent beer. Had an interesting floral taste to it:

I lost the vote and we ended up at a Churascuria:

Even more meat...

Meat with Meat...

Ugh, I don't think I even want to grill for a few days when I get home.

I see you guys went to the churascuria near the hotel... average. Next time if they have to have meat hop a cab and go to the original Fogo de Chao. It's like a 10 minute drive (near that other airport) and 1000 times better.

Well I got a good suggestion from Tsquare, then the hotel recommended the same place but I got out-voted 1 to 2! :)

In retrospect, I probably should have manned-up and got in a cab and ventured out but I really haven't gotten my sea legs here in Brazil yet with doing the solo thing.

Most other cities, say Paris, "I want to go eat pizza and then go to the Irish bar, blah blah blah..."

"Have fun! Later skaters, I'll see ya around pickup! :)"

Gosh you have been making me jealous the past few days Doug! First the Prague pics now Sao Paulo? Awesome! Thanks a lot for posting these pictures, always very interesting to check out.

Next time your in Sao Paulo and need someone to show you around let me know. My dad lives there :rawk:

By the way Doug.... how many times have you accidentally spilled food in the cockpit ? :)

Those pics are pretty sweet. For the equator thing, I think that you might also be able to put two waypoints that are along the equator into the second route legs page, so that it'll show up as a dashed line across your route. I don't know, I think that would look cooler.

I have delivered two airplanes so far to Rio, and have yet to be able to leave the airport. Damn you Dough.....:)

For churrasco the best place is Porcão, Fogo de Chao is for tourists (it`s like the Mcdonalds of the churrascarias...but still better then any BBQ in the US) unless you go in the original one in Porto Allegre. Other then for the meats a churrascaria is not really he best place for food, next time in Brazil try to go to a restaurant with comida mineira, that`s good food.

Doug when are you flying to Rio?
