San Diego

I would suggest pinnacle aviation academy in carlsbad. It is about 30 minutes north of san diego. Good maintenance. I used to work on thier aircraft and they are pretty top notch. They are a cessna pilot center and they have alot of new airplanes and the old ones are immaculate. If you have any questions please feel free to drop me a line.

If you can afford to pay as you go, I suggest Plus-One Flyers out od Mongomery. Monthly fee of like 25 bucks, and Cessna's and Pipers at roughly $60-70 per hour. Lots of freelance instructors that fly out of there.

Also try out Gillespie. Just stay away from Golden State, or as the locals call lt, "golden mistake".
I got my Private at California Flight Academy. I really can't comment on them now because its been so long. Their management has changed over the years a few times so I don't know how it is over there now. I had fun though back in the day.

I did my training at San Diego Flight Training International. Overall I thought the flight instructing was very good. Unfortunately I though I was pretty ripped off on cost. Instructors were $54 per hour and a little over$100 an hour for an M model 172. I paid over $10,000 for a private license!!!!!!!! eventhough I finished in only 55 hours. I wish I had done more research before going there.
