Russia terrorism against US bound airliners

I don’t know if this has been discussed in another thread. Russian GRU planted incendiary devices (magnesium based which is very difficult to extinguish) on at least 2 US bound aircraft. One device ignited in Leipzig and one in Birmingham, but fortunately on the ground in both instances. The Leipzig plane was delayed and if it had taken off as scheduled would have been airborne when it ignited.

Vlad isn’t our friend?

There are people that I don't think believe "Better dead than red". My biggest bitch with 8 years of Obama is that he didn't go full-on Reagan after KAL007 when the Russians shot down MH17. When KAL007 got shot down Reagan's rhetoric inflamed already inflamed tensions. Obama's relative lack of fury/outrage/nuking Russia till they glow was irritating to me.

You would think the number of guys who've procured spouses from over there and seen it go south, like it inevitably do, would be enough to fuel a renewed Cold War.

Are you doing “it’s just a prank bro” with the thread at this time?

No. But the last time my govt told me about some liquid plot in 2006, they took our rights away and mandated the stupid 3-1-1 rule which, despite a changing threat matrix, still remains in place today with no change.

So forgive me. I’m just curious what we stand to lose next in the name of security.

We already gave away some freedoms by installing a fake security theater known as TSA. Then the 3-1-1 rule which doesn’t do jack ****. And now, who knows?

What I do know - and correct me if I’m wrong - ain’t no plane flying scheduled service from Russia nonstop to the USA right now.

What plane flies nonstop from Russia to the USA?

Depends on how deep into Russia we’re talking. Sarah Palin could see Russia from her house, and therefore Todd could reach it with his SuperCub.

Or on the business jet side, I used to have an acquaintance that would fly non-stop between the two regularly. Their “milk run” was just about 5,000nm. We haven’t spoken in a couple years, and not sure how the geo-political climate has influenced their travel habits.

Is they succeeded in bringing down an American airliner, is that not tantamount to an act of war?

Uh they have nuclear ballistic missiles too. What makes you think they wouldn’t have retaliated.

I'm pretty sure our sonic-based SDI system, powered by radioactive fuel found in the UK grave of a US agent who was supposed to be on the Titanic. It would have soaked any counter-attack right up.
