Russia airliner with 170 aboard crashes

MOSCOW, Russia (CNN) -- A Russian plane crashed in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine Tuesday afternoon, according to the news agency Interfax, quoting the Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry.

Russia's state-run RIA Novosti reported wreckage has been found in Ukraine.

Interfax said the TU-154 aircraft had about 170 people on board when it crashed about 3:25 p.m. It was en route from the Black Sea resort town of Anapa to St. Petersburg.

suckfest. youd have about as much chance of getting me on one of those as you would of me winning the lottery. (so like 1 in 6.5 billion or so.)

Do the math, the article is a little biased. I calculated 36% freak accidents while 64% "unknown" 28% error/bias
 
Whats up with all the Russian planes going down? Is it that the planes don't have a strict of maintenance program that is required here in the U.S or is it that the planes are just crap or that the pilots are not as qualified (which I doubt). Just wondering because I hear a lot of fear from people about flying in or to Russia.
