ROTC Scholarships?

So how much does the military, army or airforce, pay for ones schooling?

Let's say I go to Embry Riddle through the ROTC there. What are the chances that I could get accepted for a Type II scholarship? Getting a degree in aviation business, or some such like that. Do these big scholarships just go to pilots, or all officers? I don't want to be a pilot for the AF or Army, but I wouldn't mind working as a loadmaster or MP for 4 years if they paid a hefty chunk of my student loans, and when I get out moving on to a flying career.

Btw- I know I should be talking to whoever at my college of choice, but I'm going to wait for when/if I get accepted for that. So, get on with it, enlighten me.

I know the Army will pay upto $40,000 in education once you enlist or commission. As a bonus, all college is free when you are in the military.(With the exception of books.)

I was an MP in the Army. The typical enlistment/commission is now 5 or 6 years. If you like the duties of being a police officer, I would go enlisted. Officers handle the admin and rarely get on the road. In the field or on deployment it's a different story though.

If you have any questions PM me.
