I also went to the airshow.
The quality isn't the best: it was hot so there are heat mirages and I had an 8MP, 3x optic, 12x digital zoom camera. But I had a hell of a lot of fun. Without further ado, pictures below:
Waiting in line to park, I snapped this shot of a C-130 circling.
Even better bank angle, showing off her top.
There was a constant stream of people. All ages and families. Everyone loves an airshow!
Native Rhode Islanders seek shade whenever the heat goes above 90. Every piece of heavy metal had a little grove of people under their wings.
F-18D climbing out.
I positioned myself near the Thunderbird's staging area, downwind of the runway. The active was runway 34.
There wasn't a moment the Thunderbirds weren't being checked out by their crew for almost 4 hours straight.
MH-60s doing a flyby
C-23 Sherpa holding while the MH-60s strut their stuff
Sherpa's turn to play!
I saw movement behind the F-16's line... and was floored to see a P-51 wandering through the weeds.
Nice 3/4 profile as she moves down the taxiway to the active.
Team Oracle's biplane.
P-51 idling at the end of the runway, just waiting to sprint down and lift off.
Rotate!
Wounded warrior dedication pass.
Skydivers' airplane taxing back.
F-18D being pulled out by a tractor
There was a bit of lag in the show for lunch, so I got bored and started to wander. C-5 tail art. Why is there a P-38 on her?
A-6 intruder.
Douglas Dauntless, in front of an M38 jeep. Classy.
Hey, baby, what are you doin' after the show?
Mmm, gorgeous.
National guard let kids play with their toys!
Dressing up on a 95 degree day for the parents' camera...
C-130s taxing down to the active to get ready for the combined arms show.
Grawr! Baby showin' off that beautiful back.
A-10 is up in the air.

Someone got the pyrotechnics' order wired wrong but awesome otherwise. :rawk:
After-effects.
F-18D taxing for another demonstration. Nice shot of the LT giving the thumbs up to the crowd.
Looking down 22,000 lbs of potential thrust gave me goosebumps.
Rotate!
Rotate 2!
The A-10 driver was wired beyond belief when he taxied back by the crowd. He was yelling louder than we were and pumping both arms in the air.
Tractoring F-16s around.
