Resumes

I think this is the right place to post this, but I think it would be a cool idea if under the Employment section we had a resume only. I think it would be very beneficial for a few reasons.

1) We can compare formats, styles, fonts
2) It can create ideas or we can find how to really word that phrase we've been trying to say
3) Employers could look over these (if they had time) and if they found something they could get in contact with them. Granted now a days people have to really send their stuff in rather than employers looking for them, but you never know

The only negatives I'm thinking would be some type of theft. We would want to make it so that only registered users could view it. We may also want to take some personal info off, such as address, and god forbid you put your SS on it.

Definitely would like to see others thoughts and opinions about this...

I think it would be great (taking off personal info like addresses) maybe leave your phone number or maybe to risky as well? at the very least your email should stay! lol .

It would give younger guys like me the chance to see how other more experience guys put a aviation resume together.

Yeah I was thinking email would be better, or for here we could remove personal info and put our JC name?

I went to a career fair once and the companies said my times were hard to read, so i changed it a bit. I went to a career services place on campus and they said they liked the update, but then again they liked the original. They don't really have the aviation expertise so its kind of tough.

I've shown a few people where I teach at, but I feel that around here things get very competitve very quick. (Had my logbook on my desk and caught another instructor taking a quick look....)

My Technical Writing professor from college got me hooked on Garamond for my resumes. I've been using it ever since.

I'll take a peek at the idea, seems solid.
