Restricted ATP questions/ Advice

I know this may be thinking ahead too much but I will graduate with a degree in airline transport administration( Yeah yeah, it's an aviation degree) next May. I'll be 22 at the time, and should have 1,250 hours by then from instructing and other various jobs. My question is whether I'm interpreting the ATP regs correctly, that I needed to get my commercial pilot cert though a 141 course in order to qualify? Unfortunately, I earned all of my certificates before I started college part 61. I know getting started early in the airlines is best and 121 is currently the route I'm looking at going. (Want to move away from Omaha, Aviation isn't much of a thing here)

So.. if I don't qualify when I graduate and want to move to say Denver or a couple of other western cities will there be anyone who hires me for just 250 hours before I jump ship for the airlines? Just looking for various thoughts on the matter, especially since time building here in Omaha is slow. If I didn't have a full ride scholarship to the school here I would have moved away.

Thanks!

To qualify for RATP minimums below 1,500 TT, not only does commercial (as well as Instrument and multi-engine) have to be done through a part 141 program, it has to be a part 141 program affiliated with the school that the degree is from. A lot of people seem to overlook the fact that it can't be just any part 141 program- there seems to be a lot of misconceptions about the restricted ATP out there, so it's easy to find misinformation about it.

So it looks like you would not qualify for a Restricted ATP at 1,250 hours. But you would be able to get one with 1,500 TT but only 200 x/c (instead of the usual 500), and I think a few other reductions as well, since anyone qualifies for the Restricted ATP at 1,500TT/200X/C regardless of training background.

14 CFR 61.160 gives the experience requirements for the ATP/R-ATP.

You interpreted the regulations correctly. It has to be done 141.

... as far as someone hiring you for 250 hours, its possible. Just do not tell them that you are leaving in 250 hours. You never want to go to an interview and say..."well I want to use your company for a few months and then move on."

Fly jumpers for a few months and get your TT up, then start applying once you're within a couple months of the 1500.
The only reduction for the r-ATP @ 1500 would be for the xc time, as previously mentioned.
