So this cracked me up. Apparently RAH has recently joined airlineapps. This is posted on their page:

"Republic Airways will be conducting on-site interviews for First Officer positions at Shuttle America, Republic Airlines and Chautauqua Airlines on Saturday, February 8th at The Westin Lake Mary, Orlando North in Lake Mary Florida, and on Sunday, February 9th at the Marriott Miami Dadeland Hotel in Miami, Florida.

With immediate class dates available, Republic operates over 270 aircraft, including Bombardier Q400s, Embraer 145s and the popular EJET series of aircraft 170s through 190s. As one of the fastest-growing airline companies in the regional industry, Republic offers pilots not just a job, but a career!

Successful candidates also receive a $5,000 signing bonus during training!

Interview sessions will be held beginning at 8:00 a.m. and 1 p.m. at each location. Email us today at pilotrecruiting@rjet.com to reserve your interview slot.
(Every effort will be made to accommodate walk-ins as well.)

Every pilot applicant at each session will receive a Starbucks gift card and the first 60 pilots who register for and attend a session will be entered in a drawing to win one of two iPad Air tablets to be given away each day!"

So you can email them and tell them you want to interview, or you can just show up and they'll interview you anyway. Oh, and they'll also bribe you with free Starbucks, just for showing up! And you get to enter some BS contest!

I wonder how their contract negotiations are going. Haha...

Meanwhile, they're asking pilots to allow cross-certificate transfers. They seem to have a heck of a staffing problem.
Haha, yeah. After being in negotiations for 7 years, I wonder if the company will ever figure out that there's a reason no one wants to work there.

It's things like this that bring out my inner child. I start having ideas about showing up as a walk-in and seeing how badly I could answer interview questions and still get an offer. It could be fun!

Forget the Starbucks. I'm thinking about going just for the chance to win the iPad! One of the kids has been bugging me together them one!

Might be a great way to score some tech, either way. Or at least some coffee.

Stuff like this proves wage increases are coming- but not before the companies try to do every thing they can think of to avoid amending a binding CBA...

I keep asking, "who needs to 'give' here?" Shouldn't the 800 pound gorillas (mainline management) be throwing their regionals a bone now? As much as upper regional management frustrates me, who is really driving the regional industry? I'm not sure I've seen much action from those who wield the most power yet.

And more E175s coming each month for quite some time. Word on the street is Republic will be unable to staff it's flying by Summer.

Meanwhile at Acey CRJ side, FO vacation buybacks for March just announced. Summer should be lovely.

Endeavor guys, any update on management's pilot recruiting focus group? Have they discovered the black magic they are looking for to recruit the pilots they need without raising pay?

2014 is going to be pure comedy at the regionals. Grab your popcorn and a front row seat!

I mentioned this somewhere else, but we had 3 actual in class of 30 spots management had hoped to fill.

One individual no-showed new-hire class after accepting the offer, and is now black-listed from Delta Air Lines... I'm sure this will help people wanting to come to our train wreck.

This surprises me because I actually see our staffing situation getting better by this time next year. Although then again, in the short term itlooks to be rough summer.

A few friends of mine recently had their upgrade class cancel. Our DO openly admitted that he couldn't pull them off line to go to class as he had no F/O's to replace them, because they can't find anyone who wants to work here. There's your sign, mgmt.

Do they require you to resign your seniority number? I could use a little "Christmas Cash" if I'm able to interview, get the job, get paid, and then resign before my next pairing starts later this month.
