Renewing student pilot certificate

Can I use FAA.gov's IACRA system to renew it? My 3rd Class Medical is still current. Just wanted to find out before I went to the trouble of signing up for IACRA.:crazy:

I don't know about that way simply because I've never looked into it. But, I had the same thing happen last month, so I called up the Allegheny FSDO, they told me to fax them my student pilot certificate and I could go pick up a new certificate anytime, no problem! I called around 11am and had my new certificate by 2pm. I just walked in, showed my ID, signed some papers and that was that.
