Only 5,942 flight hours logged . . . yeah, riiiight. And it was only flown by a little old lady on Sundays to church . . . in Guantanamo:

Want to Buy an Old CIA Rendition Jet?
Only $27.5 million for a fancy plane with low mileage—and a dark history.

There are people who think it is evil/spooky/creepy to own or fly former military aircraft, too, because of the same type of perception about how it was used.

It is an object -- it doesn't have a memory or a spirit.

My favorite is a former neighbor of mine who had his house broken into and a gun stolen (a S&W 686 revolver). Some months later the police called and told him his pistol had been used in a crime and once the crime was cleared, he could get the gun back.

When he finally got it back -- which was a year or so later I think even after that -- the surface was all corroded where there had been blood on it, and it hadn't been cleaned after the crime and being put into a police evidence bag.

My neighbor couldn't stand the thought that his pistol had been used in a crime and that it was human blood that had damaged the surface...so, knowing I was a firearms guy, he asked me if I wanted it, and when I said yes, he went into a long missive about how it was evil now that it had been used to draw blood.

Although it needed a re-finishing, it sure shot great.

Slightly morbid, but good comparison.

Wasn't there a book on the ghosts of Eastern 401 that crashed in the Everglades? Numerous crews, both pilots and FAs, claimed they saw ghosts of the CA and FE on the L1011s that had parts used (cannibalized) from the crashed L1011.

Does the waterboarding equipment come standard or has it been removed by the previous owner?

Good news is, no waterboarding equipment. That's the great thing about waterboarding. Since it isn't torture*, no need to rendition someone. Saves the taxpayer money! It's only when the waterboarding doesn't work* that you need to fly the subject* to a friendly* foreign country where real* brutal torture methods are legal..

I remember reading a book back in the 80s about that, yeah. Wasn't there a movie about it too?

Ironically when I hold my Mosin I sincerely hope it killed some Nazi's.

The flag doesn't have a memory or spirit either, but people still have an issue with it being lit on fire for some reason.

A touch psychic (psychometry) would heavily beg to differ!

;)

.

So...he makes the offer of giving the gun to you.

An offer thats essentially a yes or no question.

Then he proceeds to get pissed when you accept HIS offer to you?

What a bunch of crap.
