My wife was recently called by Delta about their FA program. Not knowing a whole lot about it, I was wondering if FA's are required to relocate when they are hired on or if they can commute, similar to how pilots do? She applied on a whim and got a call so now is interested. Any other info anyone can provide would be great, Thanks

She can commute, but it's discouraged (highly) and she'll be commuting to reserve with zero seniority.
Possible? Yes. But difficult. And I think if she goes to the interview saying she wants to commute right away that will pretty much end the interview right there... Airlines want people to say they'll move to and live in their new base.
Do you guys have kids? Commuting as a new hire on reserve with kids? Not recommended.
